two shot MOULDING

Hymid specialise in Two Shot Moulding. This process (also known as 2 shot, multishot, twin-shot, 2k moulding or co-injection moulding) is a technique whereby a component made of two materials (or two colours) is made in one machine cycle, forming a chemical bond – increasing durability and component quality whilst reducing the number of mould tools required and minimising second operations/assembly costs.

For example, two shot moulding allows for electronics enclosures with integral windows, seals, grips and buttons – enabling them to be dustproof, waterproof, shockproof – ideal for use in extreme environments.
